Fire Doors in Doncaster

Installation, replacement and remedials for logistics and industrial premises, commercial estates and managed residential, including multi-door programmes.

Doncaster's position on the motorway and rail network has made it a centre for distribution and logistics, and those buildings bring fire door work at a different scale from most: large floorplates, long corridors, plant and riser doors, and multiple openings that all need to behave consistently.

Parsec Fire Doors handles the installation, the replacement doorsets and the remedial repairs, with one point of contact for a whole programme rather than a separate trade for each stage. Formal fire door inspection reports are arranged through a specialist inspection partner where required.

Logistics, Industrial and Distribution Premises

In distribution buildings the doors that matter most are the separations: warehouse to office, corridor to stair, and the plant, riser and switchroom doors that sit off the escape route. These openings see heavy traffic and are frequently held open for operational convenience, which is where the majority of defects begin.

Where a door genuinely needs to stay open during operations, a hold-open device linked to the alarm is usually a better answer than a wedge. We can specify and fit those as part of the works.

  • Warehouse-to-office and cross-corridor separations
  • Plant room, riser and switchroom doors
  • Double leaf sets with matched closers and selectors
  • Alarm-linked hold-open devices in place of wedges
  • Impact damage assessed opening by opening

Multi-Door Programmes

Where a building or estate has dozens of doors, taking them one at a time as faults appear costs more and evidences less. A planned programme lets the doors be worked through in a sensible order, with the escape route doors first and the lower-risk openings after.

We provide a per-door position and a record of what was done at each opening, so the works can be evidenced afterwards rather than reconstructed from memory.

  • Escape route doors prioritised ahead of lower-risk openings
  • Costs set out per door rather than as a single lump
  • Works phased around operational and trading needs
  • One record of what was done at each opening
  • Doors identified for replacement rather than repeat patching

Installation and Replacement

Replacement work is carried out as complete doorsets: leaf, frame, seals and ironmongery matched to one specification. FD30 covers most room and corridor separations, with FD60 where the compartmentation strategy requires a longer period of resistance. The rating for each opening is confirmed on site.

  • FD30, FD30S and FD60 doorsets, single and double leaf
  • Vision panels and glazing to the doorset specification
  • Matched closers, hinges, locks and latching
  • Intumescent and cold smoke sealing
  • Removal, disposal and making good around the frame

Managed Residential and Commercial Estates

Alongside industrial work we cover managed residential property, flat entrance and communal doors, offices, retail units and estate premises around the town. Where you already hold a fire door report or fire risk assessment action list, we can price and carry out the works from it after checking the recorded defects on site.

Local Coverage

We also cover Rotherham, Barnsley, Sheffield, Worksop, Retford and the surrounding South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw area.

We are based in Tibshelf, Derbyshire and work across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, the wider East Midlands and South Yorkshire. For the wider county picture, see fire doors in South Yorkshire, or all areas we cover.
