When Replacement Is the Right Answer
Replacement is not automatic. Where a door's construction and condition allow it, corrective work to gaps, seals, hinges, closers and latching is usually the more proportionate route, and we will say so.
We recommend replacement where the required performance genuinely cannot be restored — for example where the leaf has been cut down or heavily modified, where the frame is damaged beyond repair, where nothing is known about the leaf's construction and no compatible upgrade exists, or where the door was never specified for the opening it sits in.
Repairs and Remedials in Derby
